Cover Art for the Java EE 7 Developer Handbook

I am very pleased to reveal the book cover art for my upcoming book Java EE 7 Developer Handbook. Packt Publishing have already prepared a web page for the September 2013 release.

We settled on this photograph cover as it is artistic piece, pleasantly humanistic, warmly social and subtly emotive. I had to be convinced a little bit, but when I saw the value against some of the run-of-the-mill stock photography then I soon after agreed. Get Lucky by Daft Punk is the song of the Summer and with this cover we did get lucky. Thank you whoever you are: it’s perfect!

Meanwhile, I must get busy and finish the redrafting of the entire content. The first drafts are completed. I am incorporating reviewer’s comments; ensuring the diagrams are print worthy and high resolution; and that the text is knock-out and punchy. So if you don’t hear from me for a little while, then you do know what I am spending my evenings and weekends on.
